Bold vision. Hard work.

I’m a business owner, I’m a mom, and I love Chattanooga. Our city has been a great place for me to raise my family, and I know it can–and must be–better in order to be a great city for everyone.

My public service is motivated by our need for change and the opportunity for progress. We have complex challenges ahead of us. That doesn’t scare me. I move toward hard things, and I welcome diverse voices into shared conversations to find solutions.

The people of District 2 are coalition builders. We are practical. We are hard working and hopeful. As your City Council representative, I will elevate the voices of our neighborhoods while laboring to make Chattanooga better for everyone.

Vision for Chattanooga

I believe Chattanooga needs a bold vision for the future.

Strong Foundation

It’s time for infrastructure investment to be a top priority. I’ll work to maintain our roads, safely control stormwater and wastewater, and plan for the future with WiFi hotspots and multimodal transportation. A well-maintained infrastructure is key to our economic growth – and District 2 deserves a recognizable return on our investment of tax dollars.

Smart City

Chattanooga’s future depends on our children. Let’s dedicate ourselves to improving education, beginning with access to childcare and early-childhood programs and continuing through to job training opportunities for adults. Our community will flourish when our public schools are the best in the state. The city should be an integral partner to ensure all Chattanooga’s children are prepared for what’s next.

Everyone Belongs

We are at our best when we work together and listen to each other. Valuing Chattanooga’s rich and growing diversity will drive innovation and further cement our city as a community of choice. Let’s ensure our commitment to good paying jobs, high quality of life, and care for our natural resources benefits everyone in our city.

Priorities

Shared Vision

Our city needs a shared vision that reflects the values and beliefs of its residents and empowers them to build a better quality of life and a stronger economy. As your representative, I will advocate for the interests of District 2 and ensure your taxes are spent in a fiscally responsible manner.

Strong Infrastructure

It’s time for infrastructure investment to be a top priority for our city and its residents. From paving roads to filling potholes and safe storm and wastewater management to wifi hotspots and multimodal transportation, our families deserve a recognizable return on their investment of tax dollars. District 2 and all of Chattanooga have significant infrastructure needs. Addressing them is key to our city’s sustainable growth.

Good Paying Jobs

Before COVID-19, Chattanooga’s economy was booming, but too many people still couldn’t make ends meet. Today, some of our hardest working neighbors have seen their jobs evaporate. It’s time to transform our economy by focusing our economic development efforts on supporting our small businesses, bringing good paying jobs to Chattanooga, and improving our adult technical education programs.

Thriving Neighborhoods

Chattanooga will be at its best when every neighborhood in the city is home to a variety of housing, successful businesses, job opportunities, transportation, and well-maintained public spaces. From Northgate to North Shore, I will elevate the voices of our neighborhoods and encourage private and public investment to ensure they can deliver stability and prosperity.

Quality, Abundant Early Childhood Care & Education

Access to early childhood care and education is fundamental for families to thrive in our city. Chattanooga’s children need to be prepared for kindergarten, and parents rely on quality, affordable childcare in order to work. Women in Chattanooga feel this need most acutely. Their paychecks and career opportunities are impacted while they linger on waiting lists for childcare they can trust. I am committed to working toward more seats for children citywide.

Safe Community

Every person in our community deserves to feel safe at home and as they move about Chattanooga. We must ensure our first responders are fairly compensated for their work and commit to continuous improvement of services.
